As we head North we travel over the Queensferry Crossing and get a superb view of one of Scotland’s greatest landmarks, the Forth Bridge, built in 1884 and still the working railway line to Fife .
First stop is the fishing village of Anstruther , featuring a picturesque seafront and harbour.
St Andrews is the home of golf and features the Old Course . In July the world’s best golfers will arrive in St Andrews to play the 150th Open Championship at the iconic Old Course.
St Andrews is also home of one of the oldest universities in Britain . Visit a beautiful ruined castle in the town , the ancient cathedral or the cafe where Prince William met Kate . You have two hours to explore this historic town.
Falkland village in the middle of the Fife countryside is one of the most charming in Scotland with old cottages and narrow winding streets. Falkland was used as Inverness in the Outlander TV series . Falkland Palace dominates the village, and was once a favourite haunt of Mary Queen of Scots where she played tennis on the oldest tennis court in the world . Falkland was the first conservation village in Scotland .
