The Kelpies Live concert series has rapidly become one of Scotland’s most exciting outdoor music events. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the world-famous The Kelpies, the 2026 programme brought a diverse mix of pop, indie, dance and Scottish favourites to Helix Park throughout June. The concerts attracted thousands of visitors from across Scotland and beyond, helping to cement Falkirk’s reputation as a major live music destination.
This year’s headline acts included:
The variety of artists was a deliberate strength of the festival, appealing to several generations of music fans. Dance music lovers were drawn by Faithless and Ministry of Sound Classical, while Madness attracted a nostalgic crowd who grew up with the band’s chart hits. The Kooks brought a younger indie audience, while JLS appealed to pop fans.

In the weeks leading up to the concerts, both the Madness and Faithless shows were being advertised as having “last tickets remaining,” suggesting they were very close to capacity. Ministry of Sound Classical was also promoted as having only a limited number of tickets left.
The Kelpies Live organisers reported heavy demand across several events, particularly for the Scottish-exclusive appearances and summer headline shows. Given the relatively intimate setting compared with Glasgow stadium concerts, many fans viewed Kelpies Live as a chance to see major acts in a more relaxed atmosphere.
One recurring theme among concert-goers was the uniqueness of the venue itself. Seeing major artists perform beneath the illuminated horse-head sculptures created an atmosphere that few other Scottish venues can match.
Social media comments and festival reactions highlighted three consistent positives:
The strongest reaction appears to have been reserved for Faithless. Their return to live performance after an eight-year absence generated considerable excitement among dance music fans. Meanwhile, Ministry of Sound Classical attracted audiences looking for a festival-style atmosphere combined with a full orchestral performance.
One fan reaction published alongside festival coverage described the event as a chance to enjoy music in a setting that is “only a few minutes walk away from the iconic Kelpies.”

Kelpies Live is becoming more than just a concert series. It is helping transform Falkirk into a destination for cultural tourism. Visitors who travel for the music often spend time exploring the Kelpies, the nearby The Falkirk Wheel and other attractions in the area.
For fans of live music, the formula is proving successful: major artists, a unique Scottish landmark, and an outdoor summer atmosphere. If the strong attendance figures and enthusiastic audience reactions are any guide, Kelpies Live looks set to become a permanent fixture on Scotland’s summer events calendar.
